Itinerary
Day 1 Travel from Dar es salaam to Mikumi National Park
Morning after breakfast meet and greet with our proffessional driver guide from your accommodation, Airport or any place of your choice within the city. Start your safari to Mikumi National park about 4-5 hours, with picknik lunch stop on the way.
Upon arriving at Mikumi, you’ll be greeted by the park’s iconic baobab trees, which stand tall against the backdrop of the African savanna. Your first game drive will take you through the park’s diverse habitats, from open grasslands to dense woodlands. Keep your eyes peeled for the park’s iconic residents: elephants, giraffes, and zebras. These magnificent creatures roam freely in large herds, offering a breathtaking spectacle.
In the evening drive back to your accommodation for the dinner and overnight stay at Tanapa cottages.
Day 2 Full Game Drive
Early in the morning you will enter the park and start your full game view drive at Mikumi national park with breakfast box from your accommodation, the unforgettable game drive will continue until afternoon where you will be served with lunch within the park and thereafter, you will continue with game drive until sunset where you will be returned to your accommodation for dinner and cover night stay.
Day 3 Morning game drive and Departure to Dar es salaam
Morning after breakfast you will proceed with final game drive. Witness the park’s wildlife awakening in the golden light of dawn. After a thrilling morning safari, return to Mikumi Bandas for a hearty continental breakfast. Fuel up for the journey ahead and savor the last moments of your African adventure.
Before departing, immerse yourself in the rich Maasai culture by visiting a nearby village. Experience traditional greetings, songs, and dances. Explore circular mud homes and observe cattle herding. Learn about Maasai attire, crafts, and daily rituals. Understand the community’s social structure and gender roles. Witness the blend of modern influences and education that shapes their evolving lifestyle.
Embark on your journey back to Dar es Salaam, stopping for a delicious hot lunch in Morogoro town. Upon arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your designated location within the city.
