Overview
This unique safari will take you to visit the most remarkable historical site in Bagamoyo, but also you will visit Saadani national park where you will have boat safari and game drive to see wild animals. Not only that but also you will visit a secret paradise in Magoroto featured by mind blowing natural views including lake Magoroto, peculiar vegetation and amazing waterfalls. Lastly you will visit Amani natural reserve where you will have beautiful scenes on Usambara mountains featured by natural forest and waterfalls
Day 1 Dar es salaam to Bagamoyo
The journey will begin in the morning hours after breakfast where you will be picked up from your accommodation to Bagamoyo historical sites. Here you will visit the Old Bagamoyo town founded in 8th century, Holy Ghost Mission, Kaole Ruins where you will learn much about ancient civilization of East African people. In the afternoon hours you will have hot lunch in Bagamoyo. Thereafter in the evening hours you will be heading to Travellers lodge for dinner and cover night stay.
Day 2 Bagamoyo to Saadani national park
Morning after breakfast you will check out at your accommodation and start heading to Saadani national park. Saadani national park is well known by its uniqueness to be the only national park connected with the ocean, the park is connected with Indian ocean where animals reach the shores
Upon arrival you will start boat safari on Wami river all the way to Wami estuary where you will see Crocodiles, Hippos and large groups of bird species. Thereafter you will begin game drive in Saadani national park where you will see animals such as Giraffes, Elephants, Buffalos, Lions and many others. After game drive in Saadani you will be heading to Pangani where you will check in at Pangani Cliffs Lodge for dinner and cover night stay.
Day 3 Pangani City Tour
Morning after breakfast you will begin city tour in the old Pangani town for 2 hours. Thereafter you will be returned to Pangani Cliffs Lodge for lunch, dinner and cover night stay while enjoying the beautiful view from the sea.
Day 4 Pangani to Magoroto
In the morning hours after breakfast you will check out at your accommodation and start heading to Magoroto. Upon arrival you will start hiking, canoeing and cycling to the waterfalls where you will have beautiful view of the nature. Thereafter in the evening hours you will have dinner and cover night stay at Magoroto Forest Estate.
Day 5 Magoroto to Amani natural reserve
Morning after breakfast you will checkout at your accommodation and start heading to Amani natural reserve. Upon arrival you will check in at Amani Rest House for Lunch and short rest thereafter in the evening hours you will begin night hiking to see various animal species.After night hiking you will return to Amani rest house for dinner and cover night stay.
Day 6 Hiking and bird watching at Amani natural reserve
Morning after breakfast you will start hiking on Amani natural reserve where you will spot different animals including 26 Snake species, 34 amphibian species and 7 Chameleon species in the forest, but also you will enjoy amazing view of the natural vegetation inhabited by different bird species such as Usambara eagle owl, Dappled mountain robin, Long-billed apalis Banded green sunbird and many others. Not only that but also you will visit fascinating waterfalls in Amani natural reserve. Thereafter in the evening hours you will be returning back to Amani rest house for dinner and cover night stay
Day 7 Amani natural reserve to Dar es salaamIn
In the morning hours after breakfast you will check out at your accommodation and start travelling back to Dar es salaam, where you will have hot lunch on the way to Dar es salaam. After arrival and drop off, that will mark the end of your trip.
